-
The majority of my working experience has been working with individuals with varying needs, including neurodivergence, intellectual, and developmental disabilities. I’ve worked extensively with different populations as well as in different settings training and educating professionals on how to support folx with higher or different needs. Additionally, I continuously seek educational opportunities for myself to ensure I’m knowledgeable about best practices. I am also an AuDHD person and as such have first-hand experience navigating through life with a brain that thinks differently.
-
I am continuously learning and making sure that I am aware of and incorporating best practices into my therapy practices. I am also a firm believer in being client-led, meaning I use and reflect the language that my clients use in sessions to demonstrate that I am understanding their experiences. I am also always open to being challenged when clients feel like I’ve missed the mark.
-
I believe that clients are the experts in the therapy space. I bring with me extensive training and knowledge, but only the client knows their internal and external experiences, and they know themselves best. I’m here to reflect, support, and help guide when asked. I can offer insight, but never presume to know better than the client in front of me
