Kink & Non-Monogamy Affirming Therapy

in Key Biscayne and throughout Florida, New York, Vermont, and Idaho

Are you struggling with feelings of shame or fears of rejection?

Being kinky or non-monogamous in a society that largely favors monogamy and mainstream conformity can feel like speaking a beautiful intricate language that most people around you don’t understand. It’s like walking through a garden where the flowers you nurture are vibrant and unique, but others only seem to notice how different they look from the uniform rows of roses. At times, it feels like carrying a map to a treasure you’ve carefully charted, only to have others question if the treasure is real because it doesn’t match their version of the world. Yet, amid the misunderstandings, there’s a deep joy and freedom in living authentically, tending to your connections and desires with intentionality and courage. Being kinky or non-monogamous can often feel shameful or wrong because of the social conditioning we’ve received, leading us to hide ourselves away from the world, desiring deeper connections that feels out of reach.

Imagine what could change:

  • Feeling accepted and celebrated for your desires, knowing they’re valid and important parts of who you are.

  • Navigating relationships with confidence, understanding and communicating your needs, boundaries, and limits clearly.

  • Reducing feelings of shame or guilt, learning to embrace your sexuality and relationship style without fear of judgement.

  • Building stronger connections, finding communities and partners who affirm and support your unique journey.

  • Managing the complexities of non-monogamy or kink dynamics, learning tools for navigating jealousy, power dynamics, and emotional needs with clarity.

Together, we can build understanding of your wants and desires to create a greater sense of certainty within yourself. We will unlearn the shame that mainstream society has created and learn to love and accept the person you are. You are deserving of deep meaningful reciprocal relationships..

  • I’ve focused a lot of my graduate studies and post-graduate continuing education on learning how to support individuals involved in kink and non-monogamous relationship dynamics. I aim to continually grow my knowledge and endeavor to educate myself when I occasionally find an area in which I lack necessary knowledge.

  • Keeping an open mind and an open heart in my role as a therapist is a foundation of therapy work. I acknowledge that while I have extensive knowledge, I cannot and do not know everything there is to know about either kink or non-monogamous dynamics, and invite clients to tell me when I’ve gotten something wrong. I center my clients in the therapy space and encourage them to lead where we go- I uphold their relationships and experiences as their unique journey, without judgement.
